For teens ages 16–19
The Junior Leadership Track is our pathway for experienced campers to grow from participant to leader.
Junior Guides work alongside our adult staff to support camp operations, mentor younger girls, and model the confidence and resilience that define Girl & Her Backpack.
Through seasonal workshops and hands-on leadership opportunities, participants develop:
Self-trust without comparison
Compassionate and inclusive leadership
Conflict navigation skills
Boundary-setting and sound decision-making
The ability to articulate and own their story
Junior Leaders also assist with camp logistics and receive a personalized letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the season.
This program is ideal for teens who are ready to lead by example and deepen their impact within our community.
