Car camping adventure

Car camping is a 3-day, 2-night trip that gives girls the opportunity to learn how to camp, explore outdoors, build friendships, and play. Campers will camp in tents grouped by girls their own age. This camp is for girls ages 11-17.
Backpacking adventure

Rise is a 3-day, 2-night backpacking adventure in the Uinta and Wasatch Mountains for girls ages 11-17. This program teaches backpacking skills, fosters friendships, and creates space for fun and personal growth in stunning Utah.
What to expect
Whether your child is brand new to camping or a seasoned trailblazer, our camps are designed with intention and community at the core.

Guided outdoor adventures (think: hiking, backpacking, stargazing)
Campfire conversations and connection
Hands-on outdoor skills workshops
Time for reflection and grounding practices
Nourishing camp meals

Girl & Her Backpack provides all camp meals and gear required. We try to make camping and backpacking as approachable as we can.

Prices vary by camp but are all based on a family income sliding scale (basically pay what you can). We provide a suggested amount to pay on each camp info page. If you need a full scholarship, just let us know!
